"1-to-1 Scholarships" is a platform to connect individual students with individual sponsors for financial and mentor support.
Students and sponsors can search for each other using a variety of filters to find exactly the type of person they are seeking to match. For example, a veteran could find a veteran, an immigrant could find an immigrant, or a disabled, black, immigrant, veteran, female, could find a disabled, black, immigrant, veteran female. Or thousands of other combinations using dozens of search criteria.

Mission
Our mission is to enable one-to-one scholarship support to empower more students thru education. We hope to accomplish this by allowing sponsors to find precisely the type of student they want to support; and allowing students to find those sponsors. We want to change the concept of academic giving from giving to a faceless institution to giving to an individual person.
The platform allows sponsors to give at any level of support they can afford - books, tuition, food, or housing. Beyond money, the platform also allows sponsors to give their time, guidance, and support. For example, a sponsor may be able to give $500 per semester and 5 hours per month as a mentor to a student that seeks a similar career as the sponsor.
